Responsibilities:
- Make structured calls (identify, confirm loan details, reason for delay, propose options). Always log every contact attempt and outcome (RPC rate / contact history).
- Visit customer homes/businesses when digital/phone contact fails or when negotiating in-person gives better chances of recovery. Follow a respectful script: identify, explain, review loan details, propose repayment plan. Take photograph/evidence as per bank rules if required.
- Offer structured options: one-time settlement, revised EMI plan, partial payment + schedule. Get verbal commitment → document as “Promise to Pay” (PTP) and set reminders. Capture negotiation terms in system and get approvals if needed.
- If customer pays cash/cheque/online, ensure proper receipt, update CBS/CRM immediately, and reconcile with branch accounts. Always issue an acknowledgement/receipt.
- Monitor promises, re-contact on missed PTPs quickly, escalate repeat defaulters per branch policy. Log outcomes and next steps.
- When accounts cross escalation thresholds (senior approval level, NPA classification or repeated non-payment), prepare case files, legal notices and hand over to recovery/legal team per bank policy and RBI rules. Do not use coercive methods — follow the bank’s recovery-agent code and RBI fair practices.
- Send/enter daily collection numbers (cash collected, promises, accounts visited, accounts escalated) to your supervisor/DM. Track your personal KPIs (recovery amount, PTP kept, RPC rate).
